Editor in Chief
Doha Family Magazine, 2014–2019
I was hired to help transform the advertising booklet of a local parenting group into a quarterly magazine. Ultimately, we created an award-winning family magazine and website through a comprehensive design, content, and audience development plan. I also created data-led strategies to track and improve website traffic, newsletter open rates, social media engagement, and SEO rankings, while managing a full GDPR-compliance rollout for the website and newsletter.
Research Coordinator
Weill Cornell Medical College Qatar, 2016
This was a brief contract project where I coordinated with the head of an ongoing research project at the College to proofread, edit, and format each research paper before it was submitted to research journals.
Lead Web Editor
Qatar Airways, 2011–2014
Originally contracted as a proofreader for the website, I was promoted to Lead Web Editor where I oversaw the content strategy and alignment for the Qatar Airways websites across 81 country-specific sites and 19 languages. To help coordinate rollout across these many sites, I also developed and provided CMS training sessions to regional web editors. I also helped create and implement content and design strategies to improve the online user experience, increase direct sales, encourage subscriber acquisition, and improve net promoter scores.
Marketing Consultant
Northwestern University in Qatar, 2010–2011
In this contract role, I assisted the marketing department in developing advertisements, brochures, merchandise, e-greetings, digital signage, and press packets. In my nine months at the university, I created a digital asset workflow to manage the school’s commercial photo and video library, organized the yearly branded-merchandise plan, provided special event planning support, and carried out creative services such as photography and graphic design.

As part of the public relations team for this international megaproject, I produced content for press releases, the project website, project management plans, and marketing collateral. I also managed and maintained expenses associated with public relations activities and conference participation.

In this position, I assisted the Bloomsbury UK start-up team with establishing a presence in the MENA region. This included supporting promotional events, book sales, volunteer management, public relations, and marketing.

Summit Publishing & Summit Media, 2004–2008
As the Advertising Production Manager for these two sister B2B publishing companies, I was the project lead and main point of contact for printing, publishing specifications, distribution, and scheduling. During my tenure, I assisted in the start up of three magazines, simplified the production schedule to increase sales opportunities, and negotiated company-wide postage and printing savings.
